Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P)

White Sands Primary School came on on-board the evidence-based parenting programmes in April 2016 under the FamilyMatters@School programme.

What is Triple P?

Triple P is a parenting and family support strategy designed to prevent behavioural and emotional problems in children.

What does it offer?

Simple and practical strategies to help parents confidently manage their children’s behaviour, prevent problems, developing and building strong, healthy relationships.

Why is it effective?

• It is one of the most effective evidence-based parenting programmes in the world, backed up by more than 30 years of ongoing research
• It offers parents preventive programmes of different intensity to meet their needs
• Effective in reducing child behavioural problems and improving parental self-efficacy and satisfaction
• Implemented in 25 countries such as Australia, Japan and Hong Kong

FamilyMatters @ White Sands Primary School

MSF works in partnership with White Sands Primary School to create a pro-family environment through: instilling positive values and shaping mindset towards family, marriage and parenthood.

Started in 2002, the programme seeks to:

a) Equip parents with the skills and knowledge to:
Enrich and strengthen their family life; and
Foster better parent-child understanding and relationship;

b) Equip students with:
Skills to build healthy relationships with their peers and family; and
Positive values and attitudes towards family, relationships and life in general
